General Info

Naked Fish at 25 Queen St, Bridlington YO15 2SN, United Kingdom, delivers the kind of classic fish & chips restaurant experience that feels easy to enjoy from the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with practical seating that works well for quick lunches, casual dinners, and family meals near the coast. It has the familiar comfort people expect from a traditional seafood spot, yet the menu still brings enough variety to keep things interesting.

The Cod and Chips easily stand out as one of the strongest choices on the menu. The cod arrives with a crisp golden coating that stays light rather than greasy, while the fish inside remains flaky and soft. Paired with chunky chips, the portion feels generous without becoming overwhelming. It is the sort of meal that immediately reminds visitors why fish & chips restaurants continue to hold such a strong place in British food culture.

Seafood lovers will also appreciate the broader seafood selection available at Naked Fish. The crab dishes add a fresh and slightly sweet contrast to the richer fried items, giving the menu more depth. During busy hours, it is common to see tables mixing classic fish suppers with seafood plates, creating a laid-back diner atmosphere that feels genuine instead of overly polished.

One item that quietly becomes memorable is the Chip Buttie. Simple comfort food can be difficult to get right, but here it feels satisfying and properly balanced. The soft bread combined with hot chips creates exactly the kind of casual meal many visitors look for after spending time around Bridlington. The poutine also adds something different to the menu, bringing a hearty option that works surprisingly well alongside the restaurant’s seafood offerings.

Service is straightforward and friendly. Counter service keeps things moving efficiently, especially during peak dining times, and the staff maintain a calm pace even when the restaurant gets busy. Families are clearly considered too, with high chairs available and seating arranged comfortably for groups with children. The restaurant also offers no-contact delivery, which adds convenience for customers wanting takeaway meals without sacrificing quality.

Looking through reviews and local recommendations, Naked Fish continues to earn attention for dependable portions, fresh seafood, and a comfortable dining experience. For anyone exploring Bridlington locations known for traditional fish & chips, this restaurant creates the kind of relaxed and satisfying visit that feels easy to return to again.

What customers say?

“ Went as new years treat and saw the good reviews. We had our dog with us and she was very welcome in the restaurant. We ordered two regular cod and chips and curry sauce and a couple drinks, which came t around £34, about normal for fish and chips nowadays. The fish isn't massive but still plenty of it and loads of chips. Both were delicious, the cod was lovely and fresh and the chips were fluffy. But the best part was the curry sauce, a lovely sweetness and a good amount of spice, top notch curry sauce. This must be the best chippy in Brid! ”

“ OMG. The reviews are correct! This place is outstanding. The food is scrumptious . The portions are great. The haddock and chips could have easily fed, two people. Curry sauce is out of this world and the mushy peas were bang on. The chips were unreal. Reasonable priced too. The best fish and chips, I have had in a long time. Can't wait to go back to Bridlington just to visit this place. ”

“ This restaurant was a great find. The staff where great and the man cooking who I assume was the owner was jolly and singing along to the radio etc and very welcoming. We were going to have the lobster two for £35 but I prefer my lobster warm so I opted to have it heated with garlic butter and then my other half decided to do the same and so we now no longer qualified for the £35 deal. The price was now £56!!! Which we found a very steep difference but as we had waited months and months to try this I paid. The lobster was beautiful and the chips were amazing!!! We both said "I think these are literally the best chips we have EVER had and we have travelled a fair bit. They tasted like triple cooked but even tastier somehow?? Haha. So all in all we were glad we stayed and enjoyed this feast. The lobster obviously isn't huge but along with the chips was more than adequate and along with the pleasant staff and wonderful views across the beach was a nice way to end a pleasant day in Bridlington. So my advice would be try the £35 deal and if you like it warm then pay the extra £16 for them to warm it up with some garlic. Sit near the window and enjoy the view, especially if it's a great evening sky out like we had. Tip the lovely staff who were very helpful and accommodating for youngsters get a bad reputation and these guys were great. ”
